The city of Istanbul in Turkey is a large garden, rich in nature, charming in landscapes and attractive in all its details, that is very obvious terms of gardens and parks, we find that Istanbul embraces a bouquet of the most beautiful gardens and green parks that hold the sea water in the famous Bosphorus Strait and one of the most famous Istanbul Gardens are:

Gülhane Park

Gulhane means the House of Flowers. It is one of the most famous gardens in Istanbul. It is considered one of the historical gardens in it. It is located in the Sultanahmet district behind the giant Topkapi Palace and Museum, which contains the antiquities collected by the Ottoman sultans over hundreds of years. It is considered the largest and the richest museum in Turkey, its entrance is considered from the entrance to the park in the right direction as soon as you enter through the garden door.

It was specially established and designed for the Ottoman Caliphs, it is believed to be an extension of the large garden and recreation center that was established during the Byzantine era. It was the hiking center of the Ottoman caliphs and sultans until Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the last actual sultan of the Ottoman Empire.

The park was separated from the palace of “Topkapi” during the reign of Sultan Abdul Majeed in 1839 AD, and during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the last Sultan of the Ottoman Empire in 1912 AD, it was opened to the public as a public park and a center for hiking and family trips

The park includes the most attractive landscapes, where flowers, plants and trees of various kinds and types that give a natural richness to the park, in addition to the fact that it was equipped with entertainment zones such as playgrounds and cafes, as it was decorated with the first statue of Ataturk in the park in 1926 AD, which was sculpted by “Heinrich Krebel”.

In the park, you will also find the Museum of the History of Islamic Technical Sciences, which is located at the western end of the park, it was opened in May 2008 and includes 140 inventions, and most of these inventions date back to the eighth and sixteenth centuries, and are mostly inventions related to astronomy, chemistry, engineering, architecture and physics.

The park is an entrance to two museums, the Topkapi Museum on the right, and the Museum of Islamic Sciences in the left at the beginning of the park, it is a wonderful opportunity for Arab and Muslim tourists to enter this museum to have knowledge about Islamic sciences in various Islamic eras.

The park is large, built on a “large” area, overlooking the sea from the other side, with a private garden for drinking tea there. There are hundreds of giant trees with birds nests on top of the big trees, including the stork.

 Yıldız Park

It is a very splendid park and one of the most attractive landscapes in the “Besiktas” district and on the banks of the Bosphorus. It was known, according to historical sources, as the laurel forests. The name Yildiz was found for the first time in the records of the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

It is the largest public park in Istanbul, with an area of about 25 acres. This park was part of the park of the Yildiz Palace and extends down to the slopes of the palace. A wall was built for it during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II for the residents of the palace to enjoy, with the most beautiful landscapes such as Flowers, plants and trees collected from every part of the world, including pine, cedar, fir, Chinese canopy, American lavender and Persian berries, it includes about 120 species of trees and shrubs, some of which date back to the Ottoman era, inside the park, there are very beautiful fountains, and from the right side of the park , a small lake, in which fish play, and rows of ducks of different sizes swim with an exciting and fascinating scene.

 Bebek Park

It is one of Istanbul’s most attractive parks, located on the banks of the Bosphorus in Bebek, one of the city most prestigious neighborhoods, with an area of 16 thousand square meters. It was opened in 1908 and renovated in 2008. It is a quiet and beautiful park which gives its visitors relax in the bosom of the lush nature. The most wonderful plants, trees and flowers are spread in the park. It is also provided with playgrounds, cafes, restaurants and many shops that sell souvenirs.

You can work out in the morning with a view of the strait, you can enjoy the attractive scenery without paying a fee in the atmosphere of the strait and its fresh air. It is one of our rare and unique parks, so it is an ideal place for families as there are places for children games inside the garden.

Emirgan Park

It is located in Sariyer, on an area of 117 acres, so it is considered one of the largest public parks in Istanbul and contains more than 120 types of plants. It is famous for its tulips, which you find in various colors. It also includes many rare trees such as pine, cedar and eucalyptus. The park includes two ceramic pools, as well as many streams, fountains and artificial waterfalls, also there are vast green spaces available for jogging and places for children and includes a chess spot on the ground, as well as cafes and restaurants.

The park was built during the reign of Sultan Murad IV, it kept moving between the Ottoman sultans in different eras, until it was bought by Khedive Ismail Pasha, who was the Ottoman governor of Egypt and Sudan.

The park contains three palaces, built during the reign of Khedive Ismail, which are the white, pink and yellow palaces, they served as summer resorts for recreation, in the different seasons of the year. It is now used as restaurants and cafes, serving ancient Ottoman cuisine. Newlyweds often visit the park to take pictures and to share breakfast or lunch with the parents.

 Otağtepe Park (Gardens)

It was opened in 1996 in Istanbul. Otağtepe park extends on the hill adjacent to the end of the Asian side of the Sultan Mehmet Al-Fateh Bridge, with an area of about 152.000 square meters.

This park is characterized by its fascinating view of the Bosphorus, as well as the calm and tranquility that the visitor feels due to its distance from the city streets.

The hill took its name since the days of Sultan “Bayezid the Thunderbolt”, and it has remained so called to this day. It is an old Ottoman word meaning Fustat, meaning a house built from hair. It is said that the Ottoman Sultan camped there during the days of his siege of Constantinople. It extends over an area of 152.000 square meters at the end of the second bridge, Sultan Mehmet Al-Fatih Bridge.

A walking and jogging path extends in the garden with a length of ten thousand meters surrounded by green spaces on each side planted with tulips, roses, chestnuts, lindens and lilys. Since its opening in 1996, the people responsible that worked on its establishment and inauguration has planted 1.700 trees, 5.000 shrubs and 1.500 hundred bushes.
