This line started from Aksaray district before it extended to Yenikapi. The number of Istanbul metro stations in this line is 23, 18 of which are on the primary line and 5 on the secondary line.

The Marmaray Metro Line

The Marmaray Metro Line is the first railway tunnel built by Turkey under the Bosphorus Strait to reach the Asian side with the European parts of Istanbul. It took about nine years to work on it at a cost estimated at about three billion euros, it is considered an important addition to the transportation lines in Istanbul.
